US lawmakers were briefed about a planned oil deal brokered between the Biden administration and Saudi Arabia, which was supposed to involve a surge in oil production in September and December, right before the 2022 midterms. Instead OPEC cut oil production, angering democrats and Biden administration officials who retaliated by claiming Saudi Arabia was aiding Russia and that they would reassess America’s relationship with the nation.
Analyst Comment: Damaging a strategic partnership which is the linchpin in the petrodollar scheme to try to gain a couple extra Congressional seats, is not a smart move. These are not bright people.
