PayPal reverses course on its policy update which would have authorized the platform to take up to $2,500 from users who publish “harmful, obscene, harassing, or objectionable” information or “misinformation.” PayPal claimed “sole discretion” in determining what qualified under those categories.
PayPal now claims this policy was added in error and it was never intended to be implemented.
