Protests and violence in Sri Lanka as the country runs out of fuel. The nation has defaulted on multiple bond payments and has less than $1 million in funds. The government is working to secure emergency loans to purchase more fuel amid increasing prices.

Analyst Comment: I imagine a fair number of CIA analysts for Mid-East, Asia and Africa are losing it right now. Decades of CIA and military ops to carefully craft a permissive world order for the West are about to unwind.

The Ukrainian conflict will likely result in a summer of violent revolts, new government leadership (mostly unfriendly to the West), civil war and even new regional conflicts. This is why I am not a fan of the idea the elites are evil geniuses: They undermine their own agendas constantly. The West’s push to continue punishing Russia in Ukraine will backfire badly! Unfortunately we are all going to share the pain of this strategic failure.
