Portuguese residents are angry at the influx of Americans to the country, especially those from California. The wave of new American residents is driving up housing prices and cost of living.
Analyst Comment: Migration will continue to be a huge threat to conservative states and low-cost countries. Residents will continue to flee liberal strongholds to escape failed policies and insanely high cost of living. Unfortunately this causes multiple problems for residents. First is a changing political environment, something I witnessed firsthand in my native state of Arizona. Many will claim the people fleeing liberal states are conservative and will boost conservative voting, but this has not held true for my home state. Second, it increases cost of living dramatically for residents. And finally the rapid influx overwhelms infrastructure creating major strains on power grids, road, internet, and services. I expect some states and foreign nations to begin blocking migration from liberal states in the near future.
