In mid-April, CIA Director William Burns secretly met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in an effort to improve worsening relations.
Analyst Comment: The CIA and State Department are tasked with maintaining a specific world order. This is why the Director of the CIA was sent and not a politician or cabinet appointee. In recent history that world order was built on America’s military dominance in the world, secured by being the worldwide reserve currency. That reserve currency status rests on the integrity of the petrodollar; the idea that all oil worldwide will be sold in dollars. Russia is weakening that policy and Saudi Arabia, a key leader in OPEC, appears to be willing to support that shift. The American Empire is coming to an end whether the elites want it to or not.
